On 18 September 2026, DISCO joined Valencia’s European Mobility Week programme with the open day of the Valencia Living Lab “València Ensaya el Futuro” (Valencia Rehearses the Future), an event exploring how data, digital technologies and real-world testing can help shape the future of urban mobility and logistics.
Held at La Harinera, the event was organized by DISCO in collaboration with Valencia City Council, Valencia Innovation Capital, EMT Valencia, PLV, Fundación Valenciaport, t-box, IBV, INTRAS, ITENE, and MOVEA. It gathered around 50 participants, including 13 speakers, representing local authorities, research organisations, technology centres, civil society and private companies.
The programme focused on three key themes: urban data spaces, digital twins and simulation, and urban sandboxes and applied research. Through presentations and panel discussions, participants explored how secure and interoperable data ecosystems can support better decision-making, how digital twins can help cities test scenarios before implementing changes, and how urban environments can serve as living laboratories for innovative mobility solutions.
DISCO featured prominently in the discussions, with Ángel Navarro from València Innovation Capital and Alberto Moreno from T-BOX presenting the project’s work on data spaces and urban logistics. The sessions highlighted the Valencia Living Lab and the role of data spaces in supporting more efficient, data-driven urban freight systems.
Other contributions showcased initiatives in mobility safety, real-time transport scenarios, digital twins for green shipping and applied research, offering participants opportunities to exchange experiences and explore potential collaborations with the aim of creating future-oriented partnerships.
The event encouraged knowledge-sharing across sectors and sparked follow-up discussions on data requirements, governance, interoperability and the collaboration models needed to scale innovative solutions.
By connecting local and European initiatives, the event reinforced DISCO’s commitment to helping cities develop more sustainable, data-driven and adaptable urban logistics solutions.
